Our Porcelain Veneers Promise

When you come to Austin cosmetic dentist Dr. John Schmid for porcelain veneers, you are getting more than the perfect smile – you are also getting a guarantee that your veneers are protected. Dr. Schmid offers the highest quality veneers and places them with great care to help ensure their longevity, but even the most advanced dental restoration can become damaged.

Investment in optimal health is by far your wisest long-term decision.
In the office of Dr. John Schmid we strive to exceed your expectations.

Q.  How long will these bonded porcelain crowns or porcelain veneers or onlays last?
A.  So many factors influence the longevity of dental restorations that our best estimates are simply that. Estimates!  However, it is our pleasure to offer you what we believe to be a unique value.

We warrant bonded porcelain restorations for a period of FIVE YEARS!

Optimal health is only maintainable when provider and patient alike commit to a joint partnership effort.

If our porcelain veneers need replacement, and the tooth is still savable… as long as Dr. Schmid maintains his private practice in dentistry… and you do your part (below) we will one time:

Replace any porcelain veneers with a new veneer:

For the first year at no charge

For the second year at 20% fee

For the third year at 40% fee

For the fourth year at 60% fee

For the fifth year at 80% fee

Note: We cannot predict if and/or when gum or nerve treatments (such as a root canal) may be required.  If needed, they would require additional fees. All warrantee work must be performed in the office of Dr. Schmid.

Visit our office for a minimum of 2 (4 if we’ve recommended due to gum condition) times per calendar year for professional cleanings.  Note: Many of our guests still return to us after moving across the United States.  If you move out of the area, yet have done the rest of your part (below), one professional cleaning & check-up in our office annually will be sufficient to maintain this agreement!

Complete (in our office) all recommended treatment in the quadrant (quarter of the mouth the tooth in question is in), all within a one-year period.  Gum infection and bacterial decay spread from tooth to tooth.  Your path to optimal health requires a comprehensive approach to care.  Complete any other recommended treatment such as biteguard or orthotic therapy.

Advise us of the need to change or cancel appointments at least 48 hours in advance. Shorter notice cancellations or changes severely limit our ability to offer another patient their most preferred time.

This offer does not extend to veneers damaged by tooth decay or other avoidable oral health issues, making it important that you maintain a strong daily care routine. Dr. Schmid will provide you with detailed instructions on caring for your veneers and your natural teeth to help protect you against dental problems. These instructions can be revisited as needed during your routine cleanings and examinations at our Austin cosmetic dentistry office.

Repair and replacement of porcelain veneers applies only to those placed by Dr. Schmid within the past 5 years. Restoration services need to be completed in our office.
